Cermenler, Romalılara ve Keltlere aynı kelimeyi yakıştırmış: walhaz (yabancı). Demek ki aralarındaki fark önemli değilmiş. #cermence #walhaz #romalılar #keltler #kelime

@simongerman600 I'm sorry, but as much as I can comprehend the cognate relation between Gallic-Galatic-Celtic,Galli/Gallaeci-Galatae-Keltoi/Celtae(IE *kʲel or proto-Celtic *galno), I cannot see a connection with Germanic *#walhaz.

@Iulian68 @Purpura57912934 And yet,the revival of "#Gothia" in #Doron doesn't suggest continuity, but just that the #Ænglisc colonists got called "Γότθοι",fondly:The domestic Goths had long become integrated as revealed by the Greeks'adoption of Gothic "*#Walhaz" to name Roman refugees from the North=Vlachs

@caitlinrgreen @beneficii #Vlachs/#Vlachi derive from the #Germanic word for "Others",which was #Walhaz/#Walhas.Which means that Greeks held no empathy for their Latin-speaking co-citizens fleeing from MoesiaSuperior, but rather adopted the perspective of [their] #Goths,a hint of integration. #Gothograeci

@caitlinrgreen @beneficii thing is that in spite of occasions of clashes(Andrianople378,Salonica390,#Gainas400,#Aspar471),Orient's #Goths fused up with the natives:A certain hint for this fact, the adoption of #Wealas/#Walhaz in Greek, for the designation of[Celto]Roman refugees from MoesiaSuperior:6th c on
