At #BoannDistillery we recently welcomed the arrival of two new #washbacks. These additions will allow for an increase in production capacity while also giving us the capability to increase #fermentation time, thus providing a more #flavoursome, complex #spirit character 🥃

These wooden #Washbacks are made from Douglas Fir, a knot-free, tight grain wood that's perfect for these large vessels. It's native to North America, but we want our #Whisky to be the best, so we go wherever we need to find the best raw materials & make that happen. #Distillery
