Update from April is that Enhertu is working on the brain met in cerebellum & other small areas (thank goodness for pharma) #wheresmydata #datasaveslives
CT scan yet to have but we’re sure from seeing the skin mets clearing that it’s also working in my body
However, a left ear problem which thought was an infection & after new brain mri is possibly (best outcome) “cystic fluid” (fluid in cerebellum) that needs draining
Neuro MDT met Tuesday & I saw fab surgeon & met excellent nurse Wednesday. Talked through balance, eyesight, all issues I have
From scan it’s not clear what it actually is but she’s gonna do a CRANIOTOMY
Whilst this fills people with dread, I’m looking forward to getting it done & feeling better, with a risk hanging over my head ie stroke… and I’m so wobbly with the fluid I could fall.
If tumor, she’ll remove it, clear out cystic any blood. Maybe 2-3 hour op, out in 3 days?
Pre op done Tuesday. Salford hospital are AMAZING.
Im scheduled Wednesday as it fits with Enhertu treatment because it can cause blood thinning & it’s an optimal time. .
Thursday to add to my woes, had ACUTE onset of left shoulder PAIN. Spend all afternoon in a&e till 7:30pm & advised soft tissue damage.
Needed to check if broken re steroids, hot line mentioned DVT so i needed it checking with ultrasound before this week.
Shoulder was killing me.. worse pain than when I had sternum out (see my photo)
DVT clinic Friday morning - appt at 8:30 am & a&e Dr said would be an hour 🫠
Was sick going for appt - head was awful - so much arm pain & lack of sleep.
Came home at 3pm Friday
NO DVT👍
Shoulder pain eased a bit & saw the fab Tina physio & lymphoedema specialist & got exercises so hoping it continues to get better
Honestly, couldn’t have coped this week if i was in so much pain like Thursday
Anyway enough of my crap - the devastating news that #enhertu isn’t approved is appalling & @metupuk will do all we can to help change this💔
