Just not GMC as many therapists don't align with the medical model. It would definitely need to encompass all who are registered under the current PSA system. It could also include non PSA reg orgs. With equal representation from all.

There have been far too many indiscrepencies and outright manipulations by the #SCoPEd membership bodies. Thousands of members believe it's unsafe to continue and should now take a new direction. Pass it over to the wider profession. #ScrapSCoPEd #whyIvotedScrapSCoPEd
@bewareblackdog The most telling part was when Lord Alderdice himself said he would never have agreed to the APPG in the way it was proposed by the professional bodies. This wasn't just BACP's embarassment, it was also UKCP's and BPC's.

@schizoschismism @katrina_marsha @Glennademeter I think that's a very common perception, but really, the marker of a safe, qualified therapist is that they are on a PSA accredited register, and that applies to BACP registered therapists, as well as NCS members, UKCP members, BPC members and ACC members.

Flaws in SCoPEd are fundamental - much deeper than language, labels and communication. Little faith in reassurances of a leadership that has failed to consult meaningfully with its members and has trivialised their genuine concerns. A reboot is required.
