It bothers me that JS ints are 32-bit signed:
0x888888 * 256 = 0x88888800 // ok
0x88888800 / 256 = 0x888888 // ok
0x777777 << 8 = 0x77777700 // ok
1 >> 31 = 0 // ok

This is not a bug. Using the default JavaScript sort() method converts the elements of arrays into strings.
It then compares the UTF-16 values and sorts the list based on these UTF-16 values.
