This #ThrowbackThursday, we’re excited to share the highlights from our @BigBrotherCA tour! Through YAAACE's Labour Market Intervention Strategy, we gave our youth a one-of-a-kind experience, immersing them in the world of media and entertainment educational and career opportunities. 🎥
Our youth got to explore a wide range of careers, from camera operations and sound technology, to costume design, prop building, and craft services. They also learned about skilled trades like carpentry, which plays a vital role in set construction. Who would’ve thought it takes an entire ecosystem of professionals to bring a single TV show episode to life? 🛠️💡
A huge thank you to @Arisa_Cox for inspiring our youth with valuable insights on the power of internships and how these opportunities can unlock incredible career paths. 💫

Last week, #YAAACE was excited to take part in the annual I-LITE student leadership conferences hosted by the @TCDSB, where hundreds of middle school students, teachers, and administrators from various schools attended.
Kadiatu Barrie, our dedicated Community Resource Engagement Worker, facilitated an interactive employability workshop on how to network effectively at Monsignor Percy Johnson! Students learned about the power of networking, practiced new skills, and even made new connections and friendships! 🙌

At #BFUTR2024, hundreds of high school students across #Ontario connected with 20,000+ tech professionals, gaining invaluable insights from top industry leaders!
