Today, the full balance of the XDC that had long been locked in my Globiance account was finally returned to me. That is what I wish to report here, first of all. The amount of XDC I had entrusted was substantial, even compared with that of many others who are still waiting for their funds to be returned. I assumed that if those waiting on smaller amounts were to be handled first, my turn would come last. As for the time it would take, I believed I had prepared myself from the beginning. And yet, however prepared I was to wait, I could not know whether the funds would truly come back until the very moment they arrived. Throughout that time, I never let my correspondence with Globiance Support lapse, and I continued, patiently, to request the return of my funds. Why my case moved forward when it did, I do not know. I understand that the decision was considered internally by Globiance’s committee. Still, I now feel that the time I spent continuing to seek the return of my XDC was never wasted. As I have written several times before, I have continued to invest in crypto assets with the purpose of using them for people in the midst of suffering. I accumulated 10 million XDC because I intended to use both the principal itself and all the rewards it would generate for people such as these. Operating an XDC masternode was one part of the plan to turn that wish into a form of ongoing support. What was hardest for me was not that I might lose 10 million XDC, nor that I could no longer launch the masternode I had prepared. Before beginning the masternode, I had already been in discussions about support with several institutions, including infant care homes and children's homes. I had also promised to donate all of the rewards generated by the masternode on an ongoing monthly basis, on the understanding that the arrangement would remain private. But when I could no longer withdraw XDC from Globiance, I could no longer keep that promise. To have raised their hopes, yet be unable to meet those expectations. To have to withdraw, for reasons on my side, what I had once promised. Having to explain that, and to apologize for it — that, for me, was the hardest part of all. That is precisely why, when the full balance was returned far sooner than I could ever have imagined, what I felt first was not joy, but surprise. When I think of the anxiety of those still waiting for their XDC to be returned, I still cannot bring myself to rejoice without reserve at having received mine first. Somewhere within me, I cannot help but feel apologetic. Even so, the fact that my XDC was returned sooner than expected does not mean that I personally benefit any sooner. It means that a promise of support I was once unable to keep can now be fulfilled sooner. For I never intended to use this XDC for myself in the first place. Children who have suffered abuse. Children forsaken by their parents. People who go on living, carrying deep wounds in heart or in body. If the rewards generated by an XDC masternode can be delivered to people such as these, there is no greater joy for me. Both the principal of more than 10 million XDC and all the rewards it may generate in the future are to be used for people in the midst of suffering. Now that this XDC has been returned, a path has opened for me to give tangible form once again to the wish I was once forced to abandon. I can also begin once more to work toward fulfilling the pledge of support I once had to withdraw with an apology. When I think of it in this way, I feel that I can finally allow myself to rejoice in this return. I do not intend to make public the specific recipients of this support, nor its details. Support, I believe, should never be given for the honor or reputation of the giver. But with its return, I have come back to my original purpose, and I can now begin the actual work of serving those who are facing hardship. That much, I wish to record here. And this return is not merely the resolution of one person's problem. The full balance of XDC, locked for so long, was in fact returned. That fact, I believe, can offer hope to others who are still waiting for their XDC to be returned. I waited a long time. But the XDC came back. That is the fact I wish to record here. I sincerely hope that this return will not remain an isolated case, and that all those who are still waiting will steadily receive their XDC back from Globiance. 🙏 --- 🇯🇵 --- XDCは返還された 〜「一投資家としての思索」その後〜 引用元の投稿から、一年二か月以上が経った。 今日、Globianceのアカウントに長くロックされていたXDCの全残高が、ようやく私の手元に戻ってきた。 そのことを、まずここに報告しておきたい。 私が預けていたXDCは、現在も返還を待っている多くの人たちと比べても、かなり大きな額だった。比較的少額の返還を待つ人たちが先に扱われるのであれば、私の順番は最後になるだろうと思っていた。 時間がかかることについては、初めから覚悟していたつもりだった。しかし、どれほど待つ覚悟をしていても、本当に返ってくるのかどうかは、実際に着金するその瞬間まで分からない。 私はその間も、Globiance Supportとのやり取りを絶やさず、根気強く返還を求め続けてきた。 なぜ今回、私の案件が先に進むことになったのか、その理由を私は知らない。今回の判断は、Globianceの委員会において内部で検討されたものと理解している。 ただ、これまでXDCの返還を求め続けてきた時間は、決して無駄ではなかったのだと、今は感じている。 これまでも何度か書いてきたことだが、私は、苦しみの中にある人たちのために用いることを目的として、暗号資産への投資を続けてきた。1,000万XDCを買い進めたのも、その元本と、そこから生まれる報酬のすべてを、そうした人たちのために用いるつもりだったからだ。 XDCマスターノードの運営も、その願いを継続的な支援の形にしていくための計画の一つだった。 私にとって最もつらかったのは、1,000万XDCを失うかもしれないことでも、準備してきたマスターノードを立てられなくなったことでもなかった。 私はマスターノードの運営を始めるにあたり、乳児院や児童養護施設をはじめとする複数の施設と、あらかじめ支援について話を進めていた。公にしないことを前提として、マスターノードから得られる報酬のすべてを、毎月継続して寄付することも約束していた。 ところが、GlobianceからXDCを引き出すことができなくなり、その約束を果たすことができなくなった。 期待してもらいながら、その期待に応えることができない。一度は約束したことを、こちらの事情で取り下げなければならない。 そのことを説明し、お詫びしなければならなかったことが、私には何よりもつらかった。 引用元の投稿で、私はこう書いた。 > そもそも私はすべての暗号資産を、苦しむ人のために使うために投資してきたのだ。使い道は予定と異なるが、それで苦しむ人が助かるのならば、結構なことだと思う。 この言葉に、嘘偽りはない。 もし返還が実現するとしても、十年ほど待つことになるかもしれない。私はそれくらいの覚悟をしていた。 それだけに、思いも及ばないほど早く全残高が戻ってきたことについては、喜びよりも、まず驚きの方が大きかったように思う。 今もなお返還を待ち続けている人たちの不安を思えば、自分だけが先に受け取ったことを、手放しで喜ぶ気持ちにはなれなかった。申し訳ないような気持ちさえ、どこかにある。 それでも、私への返還が予想より早かったということは、私自身が利益を得る時期が早まったということではない。一度は果たせなくなった支援の約束を、より早く果たせるようになったということだ。 そもそも私は、このXDCを自分自身のために使うつもりはないのだから。 虐待を受けた子どもたち。 親から見捨てられた子どもたち。 心や身体に深い傷を負いながら、生きている人たち。 そのような人たちのもとへ、XDCマスターノードから生まれる報酬を届けることができるのであれば、私にとってこれ以上の喜びはない。 1,000万XDCを超える元本も、そこから将来得られる報酬も、すべて苦しみの中にある人たちのために用いるものだ。 このXDCが戻ってきたことで、一度は断念せざるを得なかった願いを、再び現実の形にしていく道が開かれた。一度はお詫びとともに取り下げた支援についても、もう一度、その実現に向けて歩み始めることができる。 そう考えたとき、私は今回の返還を、ようやく素直に喜ぶことができるように思う。 具体的な支援先や、その内容を公にするつもりはない。支援とは、本来、支援する側の名誉や評価のために行うものではないと思っているからだ。 ただ、このXDCが戻ってきたことで、当初の願いに立ち返り、困難の中にある人たちのために、実際の働きを始められるようになった。 そのことだけは、ここに記しておきたい。 そして、今回の返還は、私一人の問題が解決したというだけではない。 実際に、長くロックされていたXDCの全残高が返還された。その事実は、今もXDCの返還を待ち続けている他の人たちにとっても、一つの希望になり得ると思っている。 長く待った。 しかし、XDCは戻ってきた。 この事実を、ここに記しておきたい。 今回の返還が一つの例外で終わることなく、今も待ち続けている人たちのもとへ、GlobianceからXDCが着実に戻っていくことを、心から願っている。
