Hey #MedTwitter! 👋 It is that time of the year.
I am Ekin, a Turkish MD 🇹🇷 currently doing research at @MayoJaxGenSurg and applying in #Match2027.
I have been lucky to train and do research across several institutions in the U.S. 🇸, and I am excited for my next chapter.
Outside the hospital, you will probably find me watching every kind of sports 🏀⚽️🏈⚾️, playing tennis 🎾, exploring a new coffee shop ☕️, or running by the beach in Jacksonville 🏃♂️🌊.
Very thankful to everyone who has been part of this journey so far.
Excited to connect!

Men deserve trusted, evidence-based information about their health.
Thank you, @LoebStacy and @SIRIUSXM, for the opportunity to discuss erectile dysfunction, testosterone, and men’s sexual health tonight. Every conversation helps normalize these discussions and empowers men to seek care earlier.
@IUMensHealth
Should healthy men be screened for low testosterone?
It’s an important conversation.
As I shared on @ABC News, testosterone is an important biomarker of overall health—not just sexual health. Appropriate screening can identify men with testosterone deficiency while also uncovering other medical conditions contributing to low levels.
Thanks @ABC for the opportunity to discuss this important topic.
🚨 A new study of 1.9 MILLION women with recurrent urinary tract infections found something remarkable.
Women prescribed vaginal estrogen had lower rates of:
✅ Sepsis ✅ Hospitalization ✅ Death
Let's talk about what this means. 🧵

📣 Updated science should drive updated policy.
The @US_FDA's proposed changes to testosterone therapy labeling are a critical step toward aligning guidance with current evidence—moving away from outdated safety concerns and toward more accurate, patient-centered care.
But more work remains! Men continue to face gaps in care, access, and outcomes—underscoring the need for a coordinated national strategy.
✅ That’s why the Office of Men’s Health is so important.
It would help:
📊 Identify gaps in men’s health care
📣 Improve education and awareness
🔬 Advance research and policy coordination
TAKE ACTION: Support the State of Men’s Health Act and help move this effort forward!

“Is it just aging… or something more?”
For too long, men have been told to ignore symptoms like low energy, low libido, or mood changes.
This #MensHealthMonth, that conversation is changing. Thank you @drhelenbernie and Dr. Mark Edney for starting that conversation!
New FDA guidance on testosterone therapy is helping bring more clarity, less fear, and better conversations between patients and doctors.
