He walks carrying cracked buckets that serve multiple purposes because there are so few resources left. The same containers used to collect fresh water are often all families have to deal with sanitation and waste. There isn't enough water to flush human waste, to clean, to bathe, or to maintain even the most basic standard of hygiene.

He says the experience of living this way is unbearable.

Children should be thinking about school, games, and their dreams - not whether there will be enough water to survive another day.
