I make puzzles for a living. I like cooking and gardening and reading and watching tennis. I'm a proud Bristolian and a Wolves fan. I mostly tweet about my cat.
As #chickenkiev is trending I will repeat the advice I saw on here a few months ago. Put a slice of bread under your chicken kiev while it's in the oven. It soaks up any garlic butter that leaks out, there's less mess, and you get bonus garlic bread. Amazing.
@fpl_tactician Of all the words I could choose to describe that win, "comfortable" would not crack the top ten thousand. But we got the result! Come on England!
@poisonwithana Very joyful literature teachers are amazing. If you get a good one when you're young then you never forget them. Shout out to Miss Harrison, it's been 25 years but I still think about your lessons
@0CEANKNIVES I also think the people who write poems and show them to other people are very brave. I do not have that courage myself, but I am grateful for those who do
@0CEANKNIVES I'm so deep into the current poetry discourse that I'm starting to see the critical mean-spirited posts and I hate it. Let people love what they love without judgement. Oh you like a bad poem? At least you like a poem. That's the main thing
@_Zeets Oh I didn't mean to invalidate what you said. It is also fine if you feel that way. And there surely is a lot of bad poetry out there. Just wanted to add my two cents, for what they're worth. Hope you do post some poetry, I'd be keen to read it. All the best
@abram_facts The English language brings me endless joy. I wish I could speak all the languages so I could enjoy them all. One of humanity's finest achievements. There's nothing like revelling in a well-crafted sentence. Pratchett and Wodehouse do it for me every time
