We face daily struggles and hardships due to the tyrannical grip of this regime. It’s crucial to recognize that the Western Union and the international community do not praise him—he is notorious for imprisoning political opponents and innocent citizens alike, all while isolating our country from the rest of the world.

Moreover, Eritrea has consistently ranked as one of the worst nations for imprisoning independent journalists. As a journalist yourself, it’s your responsibility to uncover the truth and advocate for the release of independent journalists who have been unjustly imprisoned for more than two decades.

In Eritrea, there has been no advancement in education, infrastructure, or the economy. The military establishment remains stagnant, while media freedom is virtually nonexistent. This is the reality of a failed state, and it is imperative to challenge the biased narratives that ignore this suffering. This regime must be held accountable for the benefit of its citizens and for the sake of freedom.
