@woahdextar@ChillShark8444@auxsyko — nor does he even contemplate a way to mitigate that. canonically you’re right that it’s established it’s the only way for her to return to herself, but i think that what makes the most sense in the context of the movie and his character is that he does so selfishly.
@woahdextar@ChillShark8444@auxsyko i don’t think that his primary motivation in doing so is to protect her, and i HIGHLY doubt that he considers the emotional/legal situation he leaves her in. if he did, he would have recognized that he ultimately makes it look like he’s another casualty of hers
the phrase "lipstick on a pig" has always inspired a deep sadness in me. I think of the pig, looking forward to her big night out, and I bring myself to the verge of tears.
