Attending the Ilorin Emirate Durbar this year gave me mixed feelings.

The procession from the Emir’s Palace to the baseball pitch was beautiful, colorful and full of energy. It truly reflected culture, unity, and tradition.

But beyond the procession, I honestly expected more.

I genuinely believe the Ilorin Durbar has massive potential if properly organized, branded, coordinated and supported through strategic partnerships and better planning.
