The first legal transfer of a suppressor outside of the NFA since 1934. LFG.
Whoever is in like for that xfer should get a little plaque to go along with the supressor...
History making right there, for all the right reasons.
🚨BREAKING🚨
GOA, @SilencerShop, @TheAKGuy, & @WesVirdellTX have officially notified ATF & DOJ of our intent to transfer suppressors tonight, at 12:01AM CDT on 8/13/26, without complying with the currently enjoined requirements of the National Firearms Act of 1934.
Someone once asked me:
“It is better to be a warrior in a garden than a gardener in a war.
But how does the warrior stay a warrior when life becomes peaceful?”
I thought about that for a while.
And I think the question may be backwards.
A warrior in a garden does not spend every morning proving that he is still a warrior.
He tends the garden.
He protects what has grown there.
He fixes what is broken.
He teaches the young.
He does the difficult things nobody sees.
And when the people he loves can sleep without fear, he does not wonder whether he has become weak.
That was the point.
Perhaps peace does not mean the warrior has lost his purpose.
Perhaps peace is what all that training was for.
We spend so much of our lives asking:
Am I still strong?
Am I still useful?
Am I still respected?
Do I still matter?
Maybe those are the wrong questions.
Look at what is under your protection.
Is your family safe?
Are the people around you stronger because you are there?
Did you do what needed to be done today, even when nobody was watching?
Then the warrior is still there.
A sword is not valuable because it is always drawn.
Sometimes its highest purpose is making sure it never needs to be.
Take care of your garden.
That may be the greatest battle you ever win.
Every Sunday at 10:00 AM, thick white smoke rises from Dan’s backyard.
Dan uses a custom smoker built from a heavy propane tank. He burns hickory wood, monitors temperature gauges like a nuclear engineer, and cooks massive slabs of pork shoulder for twelve straight hours.
The smoke carries two miles down the valley. It is not cooking; it is an orbital beacon.
In my culture, smoke indicates a signal fire or a battlefield distress. Here, it is an invitation to an unannounced assembly.
By 3:00 PM, without a single text message being sent, men begin to materialize in Dan’s yard.
Kevin arrives with a lawn chair. Tony appears holding a bag of ice. I walk over with two bottles of sparkling water. We do not greet each other formally. We simply take positions around the smoker, watching the heat gauge like military officers evaluating a radar screen.
"Temperature is holding at two hundred and twenty-five," Dan announces to the yard.
"Good draft today," Kevin observes.
"Hickory is sharp. Good choice," Tony approves.
This is the entire conversation for two hours. We are bound by the solemn worship of slow-cooked meat.
At 6:00 PM, Dan pulls twenty pounds of tender, mahogany-colored pork from the steel chamber. It is enough food to feed a Roman legion.
Dan lives alone with his dog.
I asked him why he cooks twenty pounds of meat every single week for one man and three neighbors.
Dan wiped the grease from his cutting board. He pointed a subtle chin toward the house across the fence.
An old man named Mr. Henderson was sitting on his porch. His wife had passed away two years ago, and he rarely left his house.
"If I knock on his door and ask if he wants a meal, he says no out of pride," Dan said quietly, shredding the meat with two heavy brass forks. "He thinks he's being a burden."
Dan loaded a massive platter with pork, cornbread, and coleslaw.
"But if I walk over and tell him I accidentally cooked twenty pounds of pork and need urgent help finishing it so it doesn't spoil, he comes over to save me from wasting food."
Dan picked up the platter and walked toward the fence.
"He thinks he's doing me a favor," Dan whispered with a wink.
Five minutes later, Mr. Henderson was sitting in a lawn chair between Kevin and me, holding a plate, laughing at Tony's terrible jokes.
Dan stood by his smoker, wiping his tools, watching his neighbors eat under the evening sun.
There was no charity. There was only an accidental feast that required the honor of every man on the street to finish.
@shortmagsmle Saw them live sometime around 2007-2008 in New England.
Couldn't believe how Meg - such a physically small person - could just whale on those drums like nobody you've ever seen.
They were fucking awesome.
By the way, atomized individualism, bootstrapism, the "kids these days" nonsense is antithetical to Americas founding. Securing the blessings of Liberty for the posterity, ie, the children, was central to it. Sacrifices made so kids could have better lives. Adams speaks of it.
@BowTiedYukon Motivation eventually fails. It doesn't always work. It's impossible to be motivated all the time.
But when you stop negotiating with yourself --- that's called discipline.
And discipline becomes a way of life.
Yesterday’s court win took a sledgehammer to the NFA—delivering the biggest 2A victory in over 90 years.
I urge the DOJ to NOT appeal this historic decision and to immediately apply the ruling to all Americans nationwide.
After perusing 25,000 comments in the past two days, most of which attempt to explain why Americans are voting for Communists, socialists, and antisemites in record numbers, I’ve done the only rational thing a man in my position can do; I’ve agreed to go on Real Time with Bill Maher this Friday to talk about it.
What could possibly go wrong?
I was also inspired by all the "sturm und drang" to make a quick commercial that highlights one of our many scholarship recipients who mastered a trade, and then went on to open her own business. Her name is Maryssa, and while I have no idea what her politics might be, I can assure you that her attitude, her initiative, and her work ethic are proof positive that the American Dream is still in reach, for any who would grab it and go.
Currently, we have $10 million in scholarships set aside to help people like Maryssa. People who want to build a prosperous life for themselves by learning a skill that's in demand and going to work. Apply at https://t.co/ju76O0XWgC.
🚨 HUGE 2A WIN! 🇺🇸
In our lawsuit, Silencer Shop Foundation v. ATF, the National Firearms Act (NFA) has just been ruled unconstitutional.
More updates coming soon. Stay tuned.
