Big shoutout to @Sumet_tech Technologies for closing a $1.5M pre-seed round — what a milestone!

I still remember sitting down with @hazemafify back in 2019, when Sumet was just an idea and a big dream. Fast forward to today — they’ve built one of the most promising FMCG distribution platforms in Africa, operating in all 26 regions of Tanzania and serving over 6,500 active customers. As a newbie Angel, this is a massive encouragement.

This raise — backed by ABAN, Catalytic Africa, and an angel syndicate from Egypt — is a huge vote of confidence in their mission to make market access easier, smarter, and more inclusive.

And guess what? The seed round is just kicking off. If you’re an investor looking to back a startup that’s solving real problems and scaling fast across Africa, this is your chance to get in early. I’m proud to have been part of the journey so far — and even more excited about what’s ahead.
