At my work (in healthcare!) you get penalized if you’re off work for more than 3 days in a 90 day period…so no one calls off because they’ll get in trouble. It’s absolutely bonkers

The reason we didn’t recommend masks for respiratory viruses prior to covid is that most people were symptomatic-
So our advice was simply to stay home if sick. Covid (50%+ asymptomatic) changed that logic. But it also revealed most people weren’t staying home even if sick…
