15th mth into bootstrapping. @thebluesocial is my 3rd product having worked on it for 12 mths. Still trying to find PMF
I have started building a new tool MyOG .social while I'm considering if @thebluesocial should focus solely on Bluesky or cross-post
#buildinpublic
Made a little tool to fork Bluesky modlist https://theblue .social/fork-bluesky-moderation-list
Useful where you see a good modlist that you want to block with, but there are a few good accounts in there you want to keep.
@flyosity@treeo I hope there's a way to restore/pause the streak? Sometimes my enthusiasm takes a bit hit after I break a streak after 100/200/300+ days
Iโm still navigating this new world as the owner of a consultancy that has specialized in React Native for over ten years.
Iโll be transparent with you all, 33,000 of my closest friends, and feedback is welcome:
1. In the coming years, will companies still want our years of RN/Expo expertise? Can we stay the course, simply using the new tools to be more effective and productive?
2. Should we expand to native mobile too? (We have plenty of native mobile experience; this wouldnโt be a big step.)
3. Should we expand outside of mobile? Many of our team comes from back end, web, and other areas. (Probably not, but โฆ ?)
4. Or are software consultancies going the way of the blacksmith? Or programmers in general? (I donโt think so, but I donโt dismiss possibilities when considering the future like this.)
I have my own ideas on this, and am charting a course with the rest of leadership at Infinite Red, but Iโd love to hear from you all too.
@cjaythecreator@gregisenberg 2 decades ago, I went to the stationary corner and grabbed a box of pens and paper for a colleague, not knowing that needed permission ๐คท

Years ago Apple Maps put me on the wrong side of a divided highway when I was running late so I switched to Google Maps that day
Last year Claude wrote utterly broken UIKit code 5 prompts in a row so I switched to OpenAI models that day
I got no patience for product failures
For more than 16 years, I have been keeping a worklog and a good part of it involved tracking the time I work on various projects. A downside of coding agents is that's not viable/accurate anymore as I often switch between projects ๐คท
About AI usage in school: you can safely assume to have a calculator with you when you clear school (and in most of school later), but you still need to learn your multiplication tables and long division, matrix multiplications, right?
