In response to the devastating earthquakes that struck Venezuela, AWMH is granting $100,000 in support through longtime partner @directrelief.

While the full scale of the damage is yet to be determined, the United Nations is reporting that up to 6.8 million Venezuelans may be affected, including those displaced or losing access to electricity and water. More than 68,000 people were reported missing within three days of the disaster, and the official death toll is approaching 2,000.

Direct Relief is preparing medical aid commonly needed after earthquakes, including first-aid supplies, hygiene items for displaced families, medicines used to treat acute injuries, and chronic disease medications for people whose access to routine care may be interrupted.

AWMH’s $100,000 grant will support Direct Relief as the organization continues to respond to requests in the region as they become known.

Venezuelans affected by this tragedy furiously saying that government officials, the national guard, police and many others linked to the chavismo are stealing their properties instead of helping with rescue efforts and you guys asking the BoE to give more money to the chavismo.

Yesterday, our London comrades took part in a picket at the Bank of England, protesting against the stolen £2.2bn of Venezuelan gold assets still retained in the face of a massive natural disaster, in order to ratchet up the economic pressure on the popular revolutionary government of the PSUV, whose President Nicolas Maduro was so heinously kidnapped and imprisoned in their Washington dungeons, by the US criminal regime on 3rd January 2026.

As comrades and protestors were dispersing after the picket, the police arrested and charged this young girl, a member of the RCG and the British chapter of the Anti-Fascist International, who is currently one of the Soas 2, and being tried at the Old Bailey. They have apparently charged her with a section 5, "breach” of the public order act. “Threatening words and behaviour”.

In he passionate and effective speech, she mentioned the Geneva convention for the right of armed self-defence to preserve self-determination, and said this applied to Palestine as much as Venezuela.

An undeniable point of international law.

This demonstrates of course the value of the law: it is nothing more than a de facto recognition of existing property relations in legal form. It is the codified class struggle. That our “Labour” government feels it must - and can- flout its own laws in order to repress anti imperialist demonstrators shows:

1. It fears our clear message.

2. It fears the growing anger of the working class

3. It fears the persistent and righteous anger of the Pro Palestine movement.

4. It fears the infectious example of Cuban and Venezuelan socialism, which points the way forward for all workers and all humanity

5. It feels it must repress revolutionaries and promote racism to corral the British workers back into safe social democratic and trotskyite channels, that pose no threat whatsoever to its increasingly repressive class dictatorship. The dictatorship of monopoly capital.

6. Its media lies are no longer doing the heavy lifting. Increasingly Fascist repression is being rolled out before our eyes.

This measure is designed to increase the possible length of our comrade’s sentence.

Debí haber añadido no usar IA o recomendaciones dadas por internet. Si hay daños en la estructura es necesario evacuar hasta que un especialista haga una inspección insitu.

No usen IA para pedir asesoría sobre daños en edificaciones dañadas por el terremoto y qué tan seguro es estar ahí. Si hay daños visibles desalojen el sitio hasta que algún especialista evalúe la estructura y confirme si el edificio es seguro o no.
