🚨 𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥: Argentina were not originally drawn into Group J.
During the live World Cup draw, they were moved with no proper explanation given.
Everyone carried on as though it never happened but watch Didier Deschamps. He knew.
🚨😳 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧 𝗜𝗦 𝗦𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗗𝗘𝗕𝗔𝗧𝗘.
This is how often each World Cup quarter-finalist has been shown a yellow card based on fouls committed:
🏴 England: 🟨 1 card every 7 fouls.
🇲🇦 Morocco: 🟨 1 every 9.8 fouls.
🇧🇪 Belgium: 🟨 1 every 10 fouls.
🇨🇭 Switzerland: 🟨 1 every 11.5 fouls.
🇫🇷 France: 🟨 1 every 12.2 fouls.
🇳🇴 Norway: 🟨 1 every 13.6 fouls.
🇪🇸 Spain: 🟨 1 every 17.5 fouls.
🇦🇷 Argentina: 🟨 1 every 22 fouls.
England are being booked once every seven fouls, while Argentina average just one yellow card every 22 fouls committed.
Does this suggest different refereeing standards for the World Cup holders? 🤔

The Gas played a big part in the development of two of England's #FIFAWorldCup stars, with Elliot Anderson and Jarell Quansah both enjoying successful loan spells! 👏
Do you remember watching either of them in action during their time at the Club? 🔙

🚨 Jürgen Klopp has launched a scathing attack on the cooling breaks being used during this World Cup. 👊
"Football is being held hostage by executives sitting in air-conditioned offices.
These breaks are being presented as a shield for player welfare, a noble weapon against the heat. In reality, they are nothing more than a golden cage built for sponsors.
When I saw players standing around during cooling breaks while television timeouts dictated the rhythm of the match, I couldn't help but ask myself: who is the World Cup really serving?
The supporters? The players? Or the advertisers?
A World Cup match should flow like a river. Instead, we are building dams in the middle of it so commercials can be shown.
It's dangerous for the spirit of the game. Football used to be the main event, but it now risks becoming background music for an advertising show."
He didn't hold back. 👏👏
South Korean fans weren’t allowed to take their bottle of tequila beyond the first checkpoint going into the stadium, so they necked the lot of it alongside Mexicans who were there to watch the game.
That’s the World Cup spirit we all know and love. 😂❤️
🚨💣 BREAKING: Liverpool reach agreement in principle to appoint Andoni Iraola as new manager, here we go! 🔴🫱🏻🫲🏼
Exclusive story from Saturday, 100% confirmed: Arne Slot left and Iraola will lead #LFC project, as expected.
Talks advanced over last 48h and deal in place.
Can you imagine Villa and Crystal Palace fans next season chanting at Arsenal fans "You'll never sing that, you'll never sing that... Champions of Europe 🌍... you'll never sing that!" 🤣🤣 The scenes would be unreal! #ChampionsLeague#champi̇onsleaguefinal
Paul Scholes on Liverpool’s decision to appoint Andoni Iraola to replace Arne Slot:
🗣️ “I’ve got to be honest, I actually think this is a very smart appointment from Liverpool.
People are acting like they’ve just taken a gamble, but look at what Iraola has done at AFC Bournemouth… it’s not normal.
Eighteen games unbeaten in the Premier League with Bournemouth? That doesn’t happen by accident.
He’s got them pressing high, fearless on the ball, and going toe-to-toe with teams they used to struggle against. That’s coaching, not luck.
What stands out for me is the intensity. You watch his side and you see structure, but you also see bravery they don’t hide in big games.
And that’s why Liverpool are interested. If he can get that level out of Bournemouth players, then with a squad like Liverpool’s, the ceiling becomes scary.
Replacing a title-winning manager will always split opinion, but I understand the logic here.
Sometimes you don’t wait for things to collapse you move early for the next evolution.
And I think Iraola could be exactly that.”
Shoutout to our Chinese neighbours - The Chinese immigrant community have lived here over 100 years. Liverpool’s Chinese are the oldest immigrant community in Europe.
Never heard a peep out of them. Never bombed our citizens or beheaded anyone on our streets. No riots, no protests demanding things, never had to change anything to accommodate them. They just quietly crack on and don’t cause any trouble. Hard working people too.
They have a beautiful culture they have enriched us with and China town is one of my favourite parts of any city.
They keep themselves to themselves and don’t harm anyone.
Lovely people 🇨🇳 💙
Zlatan Ibrahimović admits missing out on Liverpool still bothers him:
🗣️ “People always ask me if there are regrets in my career. Very few. But yes… one still stays in my mind sometimes.
I never played for Liverpool.
After leaving FC Barcelona in 2010, there were conversations, real conversations. I spoke with Roy Hodgson and I could feel how much the club wanted to return to the top.
And honestly, I loved the mentality of Liverpool. The history, the pressure, the fans it was raw football. Real football.
Some clubs are big because of money. Liverpool is big because of soul.
At that stage of my career, Anfield would have suited my personality perfectly. The passion there is crazy. I think the fans would have loved me… and I would have loved them back.
Even now, when I hear You’ll Never Walk Alone before big European nights, I think: ‘Zlatan should have experienced this from the inside.’
I achieved a lot in football, but that is one chapter that still feels unfinished.”
