Loved presenting my work on the coolest objects of the universe -Metal poor stellar streams and how they cause disequilibrium in the Milky Way at the @lorentzcenter workshop on Galactic Acceleration #LCGalacticAcceleration@SophiLilleengen is a wild photographer, more on thread
What a week! 😄 Last Friday I rounded off my master thesis under supervision of @amina_helmi. This week I'm at @lorentzcenter for #LCGalacticAcceleration, presenting my work from the past year, learning a lot and meeting lots of lovely people! Science is amazing 🤩
📢 #Webb reveals never-before-seen details of galaxy group “Stephan’s Quintet”, giving astronomers a ringside seat to galactic mergers and interactions. Read more here: https://t.co/GeISyYBuUP or below 👇
Check out our #EAS2022 poster (no 1529) using #GaiaDR3 data to identify and characterise the local stellar halo substructure!
We confirm several reported substructures, identify one new group and a handful of small but interesting clumps! #SatsStreams22

Very honoured to be presenting my work on studying the metallicity structure of the halo using the reduced proper motion selected sample from Gaia DR3 and Pristine survey metallicities at the S12 Gaia session ☺️@EAS_meeting@ESAGaia#EAS2022 And that's my favorite movie you see🤩
Substructures, streams and resonances!
Here is my #EAS2022 poster (no 1519) showing how we have used the Helmi streams substructure to provide a new constraint on the shape of the inner dark matter halo!

Very honoured to have been able to present at #EAS2022 at the #SatsStreams22 session! ✨ We show how the Helmi Streams' separation in angular momentum space can be explained by chaoticity and that this could provide a new constraint on the Galactic potential!
Great talk today by @hcwoudenberg on using the Helmi streams and chaos to provide constraints on the Galactic potential, specifically on the shape of the inner dark matter halo! 🤩 #EAS2022#SatsStreams22
After a "technical" interlude the final talk of the morning is by @hcwoudenberg discussing novel constraints on the inner dark matter halo shape using phase-mixed streams
#SatsStreams22#EAS2022
In the last talk of this #EAS2022#SatsStreams22 session, H Woudemberg shows how the Helmi stream's unique structure can constrains the MW DM halos well
Woudenberg: Helmi streams show two clumps. Gap likely due to chaotic resonant orbits. Look for the MW halo parameters that can reproduce such orbits. #SatsStreams22#EAS2022
Today is paper day! 🤩 https://t.co/wnDke0F2c6
We have used Gaia DR3 data, supplemented with chemical information from APOGEE and LAMOST LRS.
We applied a single linkage-based clustering algorithm in Integrals of Motion space to identify substructure in the local stellar halo.
