I say this as kindly and gently as I can:
Reading research that is out of context, misrepresented, uninterpreted, out of chronological order, outdated, or unreliably sourced does NOT constitute “mixed messages”—it is poor reading.
Our children’s children may learn about our response to COVID-19. My prayer and hope is that we make them proud with our strength, courage, practicality and grace.
As educators, it’s so easy to fall into the trap of complaining or wishing for a snow day, etc.
But now, institutions are closing left and right and it is heartbreaking to think of not being in the classroom for an extended period of time. 💔
A reminder that if public schools shut down, millions of children will lose their access to some of the only meals they receive each day.
Food banks will become more important, and I've learned the best way to help is not to donate your spare canned goods, it's to donate money.
Thinking about “biblical womanhood” today—mujeres like Miriam, the first woman to be called prophet; never married or had children; saved her younger brother from being murdered by Pharaoh; led women in singing & dancing and the Israelite community during the exodus & wanderings.
