I had no idea you were gonna be away - my apologies ☺️ Likewise, it has been a privilege to share the joys and woes with you. You've been a witness to my journey, from the ridiculous to the absurd. We will forever be haunted by the knowledge we have now about the state of humanity and media literacy (and also by strawhats).

I don't want to write too long a message as a reply, because it feels too much like a farewell. I'm still around, just less active until my current real life obligations are fulfiled ❤️ Your friendship, your art, your compassion, even your rare INTJ ruthlessness are things I cherish too much to completely disappear👁️ Worry not.

This was always meant to be a WS side account and I said I'd dip once it ended, but man... what a ride it's been.

Chasing that high every 10 days with all of you has been genuinely fun. All the speculations, all the theories, jokes, memes, fanfics and fanart. So many of you are insanely smart, insanely talented and creative, and so full of love for TJ and Youngwoo's story. You guys have made this journey so much richer than it had any right to be, it would've been a much lonelier experience without your company.

And finally - we got to see these two idiots find their way back to each other. TJ has always been Youngwoo's throughline, his one and only, his ride or die. From age 15 making that first move to strike up a conversation at the steps, at 18 in that dingy hotel room straddling the poor boy, to 34 taking a bullet for him, to 36 buying them a house in the suburbs… Wet Sand has always been their story.

No amount of discourse or disinformation is ever going to change the fact that Youngwoo has proven, over and over again, for 22 years and counting, that he will always choose Oh Taejoon over anyone else.

WS really reminded me why I love long-form storytelling, made me want to write creatively for fun, and educated me on manhwa as an art form.

This isn't a goodbye, just a see you later. I'll still pop in here and there: after all, we've still got volume covers coming, and of course TJIAN day in August.

BLIND ITEM — INDUSTRY RUMOURS

Two co-stars from the breakout crime-romance drama, known for its three-season slowburn that concluded with an understated domestic finale, are said to have taken things even further off-screen.

According to multiple sources, the pair, who famously wore matching rings in the show’s final episode, were seen wearing bands of their own several months after filming wrapped.

Insiders say the two grew "exceptionally close" during production, particularly in the final season, and have since made a "private, long-term commitment" away from the spotlight.

When reached for comment, representatives declined to confirm.

11. Youngwoo did a late-night Instagram Live from his living room, answering fan questions. About 10 minutes in, someone crossed behind him carrying a glass of water, realised the camera was on, and doubled back fast. Fans immediately clipped the frame. The hand tattoo was unmistakable.

12. Someone commented in the same live: "blink twice if Taejoon is there". Youngwoo laughed and said, "I blink a lot" then immediately stopped blinking.

13. Taejoon posted a rare Story of a dessert plate at a well-known cafe. No caption. 30 minutes later, Youngwoo posted the exact same plate from a different angle. The Stories disappeared within the hour. All the screenshots, however, did not.

14. Fans noticed Taejoon stopped liking Youngwoo’s posts publicly. He started liking fanart instead. But only the ones of them.

15. Taejoon likes a fan tweet that says Youngwoo "looks softer this season". He unlikes it two minutes later. The original tweet only had 12 likes before that. It ends the day with 10k.

16. Taejoon likes a comment under a stillshot from S3's public bathroom arc that reads: "this is insane acting". He never unlikes that one and blocks replies for the rest of the day.

17. Youngwoo accidentally likes a meme that says "when your man commits a bloodbath but you still miss him". The meme has since been deleted by the OP out of fear.

18. At the end of a Live, Youngwoo waved and said, “Goodnight, everyone!” Then, softer, off-camera: “I’m done.”
A familiar voice replied, “Okay.”
