🚴 Heart Comonos’ Third Annual Bike Fix-up & Giveaway!

In June, Heart Comonos, in partnership with local organizations, gave away 100+ refurbished bikes to the community at their third annual Bike Fix-up and Giveaway Event! Families from all backgrounds came together for a day of fun and left riding their new bicycles.

The event was made possible thanks to Project Manager Vicki Tran, the dedicated team of mechanics, generous bike donors, and volunteers who ensured everything ran smoothly. Heart Comonos is grateful for the opportunity to spread love and joy throughout the community. 💖

This past weekend, our amazing community showed up in a big way! 🌲💚 Volunteers from the Cooksville SNAP and Fletcher’s Creek SNAP areas rolled up their sleeves and removed 90 lbs of litter from Cooksville Park and planted 200 new trees at Chris Gibson Park. Huge thanks to everyone who joined in, including our friends at @HeartComonos! ❤️

Heart Comonos works to empower the local people in the Cooksville-Mississauga area, building a healthy and lively community together for everyone.

Through our weekly programming, we host a variety of wellness programs - from Beginner’s Yoga and Book Club to Bachata Dance and Variety Arts Events. Every week, Heart Comonos hosts two Seniors Fitness classes and one Chair Yoga class to keep the community active, strong and feel included. Many have said how much stronger they feel after weeks of coming back!

Trash in our streams and creeks doesn’t just harm local wildlife, it travels downstream and ends up in Lake Ontario, impacting ecosystems along the way.
