Currently, only 57.5 % of MDs would choose to become a MD again, compared to 72.2 percent of physicians in 2020 per AMA, Mayo, Stanford, U Colorado survey of 2,440 MDs
Professional fulfillment (satisfaction or meaning that comes from work) scores dropped from 40 % in 2020 to 22.4 % in 2021
Emotional exhaustion scores increased 38.6 %, and depersonalization scores increased 60.7 %
62.8 % of MDs manifested at least one trait of burnout, compared to 38.2 % in 2020
Satisfaction with work-life integration declined from 46.1 % in 2020 to 30.2 % in 2021
Depression scores increased by 6.1 %

@richardbogle Next on the action plan is a 2 pronged strategy of reducing the amount of plastic/paper used in our procedures (ex: do we really need 4 10cc syringes for a rhc) while reaching out to hospital admin/industry for efficient waste disposal methods/repackaging. @fischman_david
@OneMoreDrPatel @AjKavanaugh Wonder if there’s no change to status quo if physicians will be more willing to join a PE firm to obtain more of an ownership stake.
