Similarly, if we're three goals ahead near the end of injury time, it should be all out attack for a fourth (Schwolow up for a corner etc) since conceding would be irrelevant. But if we're two or four ahead, the ball would (or should) be kept in the corner in the same scenario
There are some interesting game management scenarios for tomorrow's game.
Us drawing is exactly the same as us losing by one or two, so I expect a very attacking team. But if we go two behind late on, it may be more important to avoid conceding again if the Celtic game is close
Last night's result means, for the first time ever, we will end the season with the better head-to-head record against every team we've faced across all competitions
📊I didn't think anyone could fill Cammy Devlin's shoes when he was ruled out for 6-8 weeks in January - then Marc Leonard came along.
The Birmingham City loanee has slotted seamlessly into that Hearts midfield, filling a void I'm not sure many could.
He might not provide the energy or cover the ground that Devlin does, but he certainly gets stuck in - ranking in the top 3% for tackles, interceptions, and % of ground duels won.
On the ball he's very intelligent, capable of picking a pass and looks to progress the ball forward whenever possible - often taking more risks resulting in a poorer pass accuracy %.
All round he's been an excellent addition to Hearts, and surely should be pushing for a permanent deal, especially when he's still only 24.
Thoughts, Jambos? #hmfc

🆕🇱🇻 Heart of Midlothian now have the highest points total ever recorded by a non-Old Firm side after 29 games
🏆 Hearts did have 53 points after 29 games in 1958, which is 78 pts if converted to 3 pts for a win. That campaign was one of their 4 titles (1895, 1897, 1958, 1960)

Today's appearance made Craig Gordon the oldest player (43y 11d) to play in the Scottish top-flight in the SPL/SPFL era. The previous oldest was Andy Millen for St Mirren (42y 279d). He may be the oldest ever, I can't find anyone older, but hard to say for definite

43 years old.
Summoned from the bench after the first-choice keeper is sent off.
Makes this stunning save in injury time to preserve a precious 1-0 win.
Treat yourself to a cigar, Craig Gordon. You’ve earned it old son.
