Neo is a bit of a worrier who doesn't like loud bangs or noises. Although he currently lives with other dogs he would suit a home without any other pets or children.
Neo loves his walks and will walk well on a lead. He does resource guard and had bitten because of this so will need a home with good knowledge and understanding in this area.

OCHO - NEEDS AN URGENT RESCUE SPACE. HE HAS ALREADY TIMED UP.
Ocho has been undergoing assessment as he was very scared coming into the pound but once settled he has shown himself to be a waggy boy who will sell his soul for a sausage! He is sadly not chipped but the pound staff think he's less than a year old Cane Corso boy. He looks like he needs a few good meals.
We have just been given his details as he has passed temperament testing.
Rescue space only. The pound does not rehome directly to the public and we will not respond to private homing offers.

Zeus is a very handsome four year old rottie boy. He is said to be a lovely boy. He is chipped. We will add more info if we get it but we are unable to get any more videos.
All dogs must pass a temperament test before being released for rehoming via rescue. This means they will have shown no human or dog directed aggression or have given the kennel staff any cause for concern over their temperament.
Zeus needs a rescue space for rehoming via rescue, he is not for private rehoming directly from the pound. He is available via JACOB'S POUND DOGS UK.

We understand that feeling run high and people feel angry when this happens but It’s really important people understand what’s actually happening behind the scenes with pound dogs in the UK
When we share urgent posts, it’s not to upset people or be dramatic — it’s because these dogs are genuinely at risk due to lack of space. Council pounds have a legal duty to hold stray dogs for a set period, but they don’t have unlimited kennels. When those kennels are full and more dogs keep coming in, incredibly difficult decisions have to be made.
The heartbreaking truth is: it isn’t the people sharing these posts, and it isn’t the pound staff, who are to blame. The people working in pounds are often animal lovers themselves, doing the best they can in an impossible situation.
The real issue starts much earlier.
It’s the result of:
Dogs being bred without thought or responsibility
Owners not neutering their pets
People buying dogs without understanding the commitment
Dogs being abandoned, passed around, or handed in when life changes
By the time a dog reaches the pound, the system is already under pressure — and the options are limited.
When we post these dogs, we are trying to prevent that outcome, not cause it. Every share, every foster home, every adoption gives a dog a chance that they otherwise wouldn’t have.
We understand it’s upsetting — it upsets us too. But turning on the people trying to help doesn’t change the reality for these dogs.
If you want to make a difference, the best ways to help are:
Consider fostering or adopting
Support rescues and pounds
Promote responsible ownership and neutering
Share the dogs that need homes
We’re all on the same side here — trying to give these dogs the second chance they deserve

Breed; Akita Age; 6 Years; Female, totally blind
Background; She came to us from the local pound.
Personality; Roxy is an extremely friendly girl, who loves her cuddles. She copes well with being blind. She LOVES her food, so needs to make sure that she doesn't have access to help herself to any food or treats.
Left alone; We think she will be ok to left alone for up to 6 hours.
House training; She is a very clean girl.
Travelling; Travels well.
🏃‍ Exercise; Roxy is very active, so would love going on regular walks.
Adopter requirements: Anyone with Akita or large breed experience would be ideal. You don't necessarily need prior experience of blind dogs, but have lots of kindness and empathy to care for Roxy correctly. Keeping your home layout the same is a great way to help her settle in.
Home/garden needs; A private, secure garden.
Minimum age of children; 14 years +.
Dog/Cat suitability: We think she would be best as on only pet, but could possibly live with an older, calm, neutered male dog. Is it unknown how she is with cats.
Medical issues; Roxy is completely blind due to uveodermatological disease, and has had her eyes surgically removed (to stop them causing her any future pain). The uveodermatological disease will not be able to be covered by pet insurance, so any potential adopters need to be aware of this, and she is likely to need a small dose of steroids to maintain the condition of her skin.
All our dogs are neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, parasite treated and come with 5 weeks free insurance.

This is Rex he is 3 years old and has ended up in a Local Authority kennels due to severe allergies from the child in his home.
Kennels staff say he is lovely with everyone he meets and we are told he lived with and is good with dogs, cats and children.

We are in dire need of a foster home for our little old lady Poppy.
She had cauliflower ear from scratching an infected ear for so long. She had two lots of antibiotics but wasn't getting better. We went with the option of removing the ear to get down to the infection better and to try relieve her from the itchy hell she was experiencing. She spent a few weeks at the vet recovering and has been back with us for a week now.
Where her ear as been removed, their is a tiny hole which needs cleaning a couple of times daily followed by ointment.
Poppy needs someone who can give her lots of love and attention, and someone who can keep her healing site clean and medicated.
She would also need a quiet home and a space away from other pets.
(She no longer has the bandages on in the picture).
If you feel you are up to the task, please please please fill out thr foster application in the comments.
All food and meds will be provided. Need to be a driver to get her to the vets if needed.
