RESTORE ACCESSIBLE JUSTICE TO THE DISABLED
Myself and other disabled people are being denied justice because Judges are able to ignore the Equal Treatment Bench Book (ETBB).
I call on David Lammy to announce at Labour Conference that complying with the ETBB will become statutory.

Read the shocking details of how a judge wrongly assume a disabled whistleblower was to blame for her Opponent's errors.
I'm sure my MP @NadiaWhittomeMP will fight for fairness, I hope @DavidLammy does too.

GC’s wont accept TW in the women’s (fully cubicled) loos, because TW might still have a penis, or have had one in the past
GC’s will welcome TM in the women’s, because TM don’t have a penis, or if they do have it couldn’t possibly be capable of penetration
Wrong again!!
1/ A disabled whistleblower, Heather Peto, has taken her fight for justice to the European Court of Human Rights. - After the UK courts denied her the basic right to check a draft judgment for factual errors. #accesstojustice 🧵
5/ The Equal Treatment Bench Book (which gives advice to judges on avoiding discrimination) is voluntary it needs to become statutory
Nobody should lose their rights in court because of disability or lack of legal representation. #DisabilityRights#accesstojustice
4/ It was only after permission to appeal was refused that, the Claimant discovered that she should have received a draft judgement to correct errors and the Judge’s misunderstanding. The UK is now being challenged under Articles 6, 8, 13 & 14. 🧵
@LGBTLabour have said nothing about the appointment of Mary-Ann Stephenson or @bphillipsonMP ignoring the WEC and JCHR to do so.
It is blindingly clear that the current committee neither has the confidence of the trans community or deserve it.
We need change.
We demand an AGM.
Our statement on @LGBTLabour National Committee's decision to postpone the AGM.
We fully intend to contest the LGBT+ Labour AGM.
Trans rights are human rights 🏳️⚧️
Disability & bathroom ban means I can only go in spirit to the Mass Lobby for trans rights today.
The practical consequence of not being able to the loo safely & when you need to, affects me & many of my trans colleagues who have urinary problems, often as a result of surgery.

On the day that controversial anti-trans amendments to the Data Bill are being debated, I can confirm I have challenged the compatibility of s170(2) of the DPA with the ECHR rights of trans data subject.
Parliament should have addressed this incompatibility in the Bill.
A message from @stephenwhittle
"I’m sure you’ll know about the recent Supreme Court decision".
"But there is one thing that our Members of Parliament cannot ‘file away ’ a constituent’s hard copy letter"
Template letters do not have the same impact.

The rights of trans people do not conflict with the rights of lesbians.
It’s why polling shows that, more than any group, lesbians and bisexual women are supportive of the trans community.
Our community’s liberation is bound together.
