Why are people moaning about Oxford street being pedestrianised
As a northerner every town and cities main shopping area is pedestrianised and pensioners are OK 🤣👏
London seems to be the last to adopt it
Student: I'm so sorry. I did the late assignment yesterday before it locked but forgot to send it. Can you still accept it?
Me: (checks the document history to see it was created at 8:44 am this morning and, by 8:47, it was five pages of written work that was pasted at once) 😐
no shade but some of you are losing the plot when it comes to this fanfic discourse. "fanfic authors need to respect readers' time" doesn't sound like a crazy statement to you? over something you're not paying for?😭
"Why would an adult ever talk to a minor, anyway? What common interests could they possibly have?"
I worked in a room of 1st - 5th graders when I was 25 and was the only adult in the room that knew what Minecraft was.

I realize that TOWS was directly isolating tf!ambear more by validating her feelings, regardless of how true they are! It's pushing her further away from everyone just like it is (both mentally and physically) with tf!scott
It's odd to me how China gets (rightfully) mocked so much for having the whole country share one timezone, but we don't extend the same treatment to continental Europe.
Spain, France, and the Benelux countries are just blatantly in the wrong timezone.
the idea that queer people can simply opt out of oppression is such a massive insult to everyone who has ever been raped, beaten, or murdered for being queer
I’m hoping the Oxford St situation might bring to a head the need to get a grip on London cyclist behaviour. Red light observance is about 25%. As a pedestrian, I am far more nervous crossing a cycle lane than a road.
I just don't understand how anyone who has ever stepped foot on Oxford Street on a Saturday or around Christmas would not be over the moon at pedestrianising the whole road. That place is hell on earth
one time a woman accused me of being a prostitute and called the cops on me bc i was taking too long at an atm and was depositing a big stack of small bills (pizza delivery) and when the cop showed up he literally asked me why i didnt just run off
Hey so the fact that there are no plans to put a cycle lane directly through Oxford Street is good, actually.
It would work if cyclists were capable of stopping at a zebra crossing to let pedestrians get to the other side of the road. That largely isn’t the case.
