And why do we care if stablecoins control it?
Fork choice is the ability to determine which forks has more value. It was an issue last year around whether Lido was getting too big and now it's back because people are questioning if Ethereum's design makes sense if one party (circle) is the arbiter of truth.
Can we have credible neutrality? Can we be neutral towards things that capture our systems? Tough questions, but this should give you a foundation for the discussion.
