People take baking soda for granted. (Also known as bicarbonate soda)
This white powder is one of the most versatile tools you can have in your home.
From heartburn relief to skin health, oral care to everything detox - baking soda is no joke.
Here’s how I use it and why you should too...
A bit about me.
I try to live as non-toxic as possible. I avoid, or at least try to reduce, things like microplastics, heavy metals, fluoride, seed oils, and the many other toxins we're constantly exposed to in modern life.
Where I can, I choose natural alternatives or make my own products. Whether it's skincare, toothpaste, water filtration, or other DIY solutions, I enjoy finding ways to be more self-reliant and intentional about what I put in and around my body.
I'm simply curious.
Oh and I'm 22.
Six couples walked into a challenge they didn’t fully understand.
All of them were struggling with the same thing.
They couldn’t conceive.
Doctors, tests, appointments… nothing was giving clear answers.
Then they tried something different.
For 90 days, they changed their environment completely.
Not just diet. Everything around them.
No plastic-wrapped food.
No synthetic fragrances in soaps or cleaning products.
No plastic-heavy clothing.
Even small things like handling receipts were avoided.
At first, it felt extreme. Almost pointless.
But something strange started happening over time.
Their bodies began to feel different.
Energy shifted. Symptoms changed. Things they had normalised for years started improving.
And by the end of the 90 days, the documentary shows that 3 of the couples ended up getting pregnant.
The documentary is called The Plastic Detox on Netflix.
My take is that @bryan_johnson and @paulsaladinomd are the best people in the space, without a doubt.
However, I find it hard to agree with 100% of everything they say.
Don’t get me wrong, that could just be due to my own ignorance, but some of the takes don’t fully make sense to me or are hard to fully agree with.
Either way, game is game and these two are absolutely the goats in this space.
Sweat isn't just cooling you down.
It's one of your body's primary exit routes for microplastics and heavy metals - the stuff that builds up silently in your tissue over years.
Every time you break a real sweat, your body is actively pushing these out through your skin.
Sauna. Hard cardio. Hot yoga. Whatever gets you dripping.
Start sweating intentionally.
I chew 6 cloves a day. Here's why.
Most people think cloves are just a spice.
I used to think the same.
Then I started looking into them.
Cloves are packed with antioxidants and contain eugenol, a natural compound that has been studied for its health-supporting properties.
For centuries, they have been traditionally used to support oral health, freshen breath, aid digestion, and help maintain a healthy inflammatory response.
That's why I have a few cloves with my morning drink and a few more later in the day.
@matt_gray_ I’ve tried this but I’m definitely doing it wrong. I like spending time making posts and actually fully having an understanding of what I’m putting out
