How to onboard people to Cardano without mentioning Cardano.

Nobody wants a sales pitch, and most people don't care about technical discussions about TPS, UTxOs, or scaling solutions.

So how do we onboard people to Cardano without using words like "Cardano," "zero-knowledge scaling," or "generational wealth"?

1. Centralized Exchanges

While buying their Bitcoin, tell them to consider diversifying with smaller-cap tokens, such as $AGIX, $IAG, or $AXO, which they can buy on their favorite CEX.

2. Cross-chain Wallets

Recommend wallets that are both cross-chain and offer in-wallet trading. An easy fiat on/off ramp would be ideal.

I know several wallets are working on this, such as @lace_io, @FlintWallet, @BeginWallet, and others (add your favorite in replies). Non-Cardano options, such as @okxweb3, or hardware wallets, like @Trezor, are also good options.

3. Games

Invite them to play some games with you. They don't need to know that the game has its roots in Cardano.

You could introduce them to @TheSandboxGame and @claymates, challenge them at @Goombles_, race them on @CornucopiasGame, or do horse betting on @EquineNFT.

4. Services

Does your friend need an IRL problem solved? Maybe they are publishing a book (@book_io), need cheap cloud storage (@IagonOfficial), or are making music (@projectNEWM).

Don't shill Cardano. Help them to solve their problems and improve their lives.

5. Events & Community

Instead of going to @RareEvo by yourself, invite your friends to Las Vegas. The pitch is Las Vegas, but you'll also introduce them to the Cardano community.

If not events, invite them to join your favorite community. Many close-knit Cardano communities don't focus on crypto or NFTs. They play poker, have movie nights, discuss and share art, and more. Invite them to join the party before you shill them NFTs or generational wealth.

6. Be Generous

Give them 5 ADA or an NFT from your favorite project. This is the most common way I have onboarded people to Cardano. I usually give people cool art NFTs, which prompts the recipient to create a wallet and look into the artist.

7. Discuss Big Problems

Before we pitch the solution, let's have a conversation about our current centralization problems. Talk to people about the issues with our financial system, governance systems, centralized social media, etc.

When they truly understand the problem, they will start looking for Cardano's solutions.

8. Create Content (Marketing)

Make content that people enjoy. #CardanoGirls was a perfect example of entertaining content first, Cardano second.

Create engaging non-Cardano-specific content that uses some of the advice above, such as gaming content, music, comedy, etc.

Other ideas?

Reply with some ideas that I inevitably missed. When you focus on honest conversations about people's lives and problems, they will be much more receptive to new solutions and your recommendations.
