Today, I had the privilege of opening the Republican Party’s first-ever midterm convention in prayer. And my prayer was not ultimately about politics. It was about God.

I prayed that we would humble ourselves before Him. That we would have the courage to stand for truth, the conviction to defend life, the strength to protect the family, and the wisdom to lead with integrity and compassion.

As we celebrate 250 years of this great nation, may we pray for something greater than political victory: a spiritual rebirth in America.

May the Church rise.
May our hearts turn back to God.
May we walk in truth and righteousness.
And may we never forget where our ultimate hope is found.

Our hope is not in politics, parties or personalities. Our hope is in the Lord Jesus Christ.
