Spring is here in Animal Crossing!

[Tokyo Game Life @TokyoGameLife]

Animal Crossing on Nintendo 64 launched 25 years ago today in Japan! Easily one of the most influential games of all time. Is the original website from 2001 still up? You better believe it.

The 3.0.2 update for New Horizons places a gift letter from Nintendo in your mailbox, featuring a new stationery design based on the boxart of the original N64 game. The letter also references a quote for the initial pitch of Animal Crossing as a "multiplayer communication game".

Good evening 🌙Heidi😊

I met you at the mountain pass earlier and received a gift🎁 and a sticker☺️
Thank you so much (˶´ᵕ`🫶)
I took a commemorative photo, so please take a look 😊

[HeidiLand @heidi_land_]

@LSoulrise Déjà vu indeed! Remember the event with *4* types of seeds?! I still have a few I’ll have to show a photo lol! 😂

[HeidiLand @heidi_land_]

Diana had a bell fortune cookie today. Now we can be matching! If only she could wear the butterfly wings. Then we both could fly! 🦋 🥠

More fruit in Animal Crossing please @nintendo? 🍑🍒🍎🍐🍊🍋🍍🫐🍓🍉🍋‍🟩🍇🥭

Midge is helping the garden center to open soon! She is finding all sorts of flowers for the shop to sell! Looking forward to the Grand Opening! It is chilly today so we are both wearing warm jackets 🧥

[HeidiLand @heidi_land_]

I enjoyed this flower event. It makes me want to get ready for spring! 🌸

[HeidiLand @heidi_land_]

@LSoulrise This is fantastic! I want to party with you guys! Or paint? Paint party! 🎨 🎉

[HeidiLand @heidi_land_]

@LSoulrise You both look great! Your campsite is ready for Spring!

[HeidiLand @heidi_land_]

@LSoulrise I think this is before New Horizons came out…this was a “preview” in a magazine I think?! I remember being so excited!

Animal Crossing New Horizons! 🏕️

[HeidiLand @heidi_land_]

@LSoulrise Yes I think that is a smart idea! You’ll have to try it in a few weeks and report back!! 🌸🌼

[HeidiLand @heidi_land_]

Murphy and I are all dressed up for St. Patrick’s Day! I’m drinking a matcha mint milkshake. Murphy is drinking hot coffee. Just plain hot coffee. That’s just how he likes it! Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Happy Shamrock Day! ☘️🍀☘️

[HeidiLand @heidi_land_]

@LSoulrise Yes Agnes!!!! I have loved her more and more each year!

[HeidiLand @heidi_land_]

Who lost their book? 📖 It was Monique! She was very worried about her book! At first she was at a loss for words. I was happy to return it to her. I think she might have left the book out in the snow. It was missing for weeks! No wonder she is so happy! She is a lucky gal! 🍀
