The best description I’ve ever gotten over the phone at work was when I asked which paw a dog was having issues with and this guy said “passenger side, front paw”.
if someone cannot deal with the regular ups and downs of day-to-day life without flying into shrieking, cruel, explosive rage, i want nothing to do with them. especially if i communicate that it’s a problem and they show themselves to be incapable of or unwilling to change.
one thing I notice about the literacy crisis is that people will say words that sound like the word they want but mean something completely different because the focus is on sound and not spelling for example I just heard someone say the word confiscate when they meant compensate
https://t.co/h6jwVKETfS don’t need closure, you need to stop negotiating with confusion. We confuse closure with understanding but you already know. You just don’t want it to be true. Clarity often sounds like nothing at all. Accept it. Walk.
CBT is for people who are self-unaware and think things are worse than they really are. If you’re self-aware and you have an accurate perception of the bad things, the neutral things, and the good things, CBT can’t help you much.
