Dreamt I was leaving work super late & stressed about per minute daycare/aftercare late fees. Thoughts given current situation: 1) Lol. 2) That anxiety runs deep. 3) What I’d give for childcare. 4) It felt so good to be AT work. 5) I want a donut.
MSU Librarian Emilia Marcyk-Taylor created a video to help people assess the reliability of COVID-19 information and reduce the odds of spreading misinformation: https://t.co/87E3gkyq0r
3yo has been spending “rest” time “putting” books away. As a mom, I’m happy he’s doing something (anything?) by himself - napping would be 💯 better tho. As a librarian, I’m screaming inside- can he not see how disorganized/messy this is?!?!😱
Kids ask for 1 million things when you take them to the store. So when my 6yo asked for flowers at Costco yesterday I almost automatically said no but paused. Glad we got them - they’ve been really nice to look at today after a week unlike any other.
Have received/read quite a few #COVID19 emails today. Appreciate @ELPSSupt reminding us to not just be flexible and patient but to also to "assume good intentions by all others and act with grace and compassion."
@cant_b Bonus parenting awards for those who have gotten their 3yo to stop picking their nose and/or touching their face (or your face or their sibling's face or really anyone's face).
Spoiling my @ewarren absentee ballot and filling out another didn't feel any less sad / shitty than I thought it would:( But still glad I did it. #onward
6yo got a “filled someone’s bucket” card for telling his classmate she COULD in fact play soccer with him and some others after another boy had told her “only boys play soccer”. Proud of him, but how the f is this still a thing?! #Ugh
