This bug was just the laugh i needed late in the day. I thought the characters top half wasn't rendering, but upon closer inspection it got much better.

@bexsayswords@leveldesigned Hopefully I don't get butchered by the americans for this take, but you might have had one of these and to my uncouth palette they're pretty similar...
@locust9 The economics are fucked. It sucks that with all the advancements we’ve had over the last 30 years we’ve still just digitised retail boxes competing on a shelf.
@stfu_thxx@HurricanePL2@MADMANMATRIX@SolomonJake It's easy to forget about the 99% of studios that sit between the successes and the failures they mentioned, seemingly oblivious to the fact that without them you ultimately get less innovation and less great games to play.
Over the steam winter sale, ICARUS sold just under a million new base game units during the sale (984k). We also did quarter of a million DLC units (243k).
@locust9 I totally get that. I found that if I was playing a game that was miles away from anything I worked on I had a way better chance of switching from analysis to play almost without realising it. Last ones I remember that happening with was Hades and Dave the Diver.
8 years of development and the team has got the game absolutely screaming. 6 players each with their own massive base, 30k+ objects, runs like a dream.
Not unity. Not unreal. Kitten space agency. Custom engine. Dust storm on Mars. Releasing for free, powered by contributions. Will have some tech firsts. See for yourself.
