The first big client I lost, I lost because I was too proud to admit I didn't know how to do something they asked for. Cost me the contract and a year of confidence. I'd rather say 'let me find out' now than lose either again.
'Follow your passion' is advice from people whose passion happened to also be profitable. For everyone else it's just an expensive way to find out what you're bad at.
Unpopular in this economy, but I'll say it: Paying full price for something you actually want is sometimes smarter than the 'hustled a discount' version. Discounts on things you don't need are still spending. Fight me.
