@vitt2tsnoc Set mine up in 1997 so I could email home while backpacking in Sydney. See absolutely no reason to change it! I suspect there is an element of ageism attached to anon's opinion!
@ADHDForReal Delayed processing. Sometimes with big response things I think I can't deal with this now. Other times I get upset but don't know why - most often it's a last minute change of plan that doesn't seem a big deal but causes executive dysfunction
@ADHDForReal I once had to sit next to someone who ate pot noodles at their desk and it used to drive me into a frenzy. Vile smell AND slurping noises. Ick
@sensorystories_ I asked for reasonable adjustments including clear and concise instructions as I often got confused about what I was being asked for and took things too literally. Was told communication was a too way street and I had to start giving a simple answer to a simple question.
@adamfare1996 We get told its all in our heads, that we're just being paranoid or negative, that we're wrong and no-one else thinks like that. Gaslighting all the way.
@ADHDForReal I was diagnosed at 50 in the hope I might finally get support and understanding. Nope. And because I've survived this long without it it's hard to ask for it now.
@NoNonsenseND@Autistic_Lauren Same, but an autistic friend is terrible at facial recognition. As with many elements of autism it seems to be one extreme or the other.
@BritishArmyWDs@sommecourt@NicholasTyrone Sorry, I was just eager to promote him as he's my brother's neighbour and is always out and about despite his age! There are lots of articles online and I'm sure he's happy to chat.
