This is completely mad.
There’s an accountant in Witney I’ve known for years.
In 2022, I asked him to take a look at P&O’s accounts after the company sacked 786 ferry workers without warning.
He is now P&O’s official auditor.

Nautilus director of organising @MartynGray moving our motion at TUC Congress to deliver freedom of association and prevent another P&O Ferries scandal.
“It’s clear from this scandal that we cannot rely on voluntary respect, while there are many decent employers across the country who work with unions and do respect collective bargaining, there are many, like P&O Ferries who don’t.”
The motion was passed unanimously ✅

WATCH🚨🎥CRIME REPORTING AT SEA
NautilusTV interview on an important safety topic for Day of the Seafarer with Dr Genevieve Waterhouse, chair of trustees at support organisation Safer Waves, who also works as a researcher for a UK project to improve crime reporting at sea.
The first phase is to encourage UK Merchant Navy seafarers to participate in a survey of their experiences of sexual abuse, harassment, or discrimination onboard. It is an important safety project, as the maritime industry faces up to the need to increase recruitment and retention for careers at sea and ensure diversity.

🚨Nautilus wishes to express solidarity with @RMTunion members employed by the RFA who are taking strike action today, a 24 hour stoppage acting as an escalation from their strike action last month.
Nautilus members have voted in favour of industrial action, standing in solidarity with their fellow seafarers.
We stand with RFA personnel. We understand the vital role they play, especially in times of geopolitical instability. Disruption to their operations is not something we wish to see. We're ready to talk, but they deserve a proper solution.
Let's show our support for these brave seafarers and urge the incoming government to act. Together, we can ensure fair treatment and respect for those who serve our nation at sea⚓️
