Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul stated that, from this point forward, Thailand “does not have to listen to anyone,” emphasizing that his priority is to protect the country’s sovereignty and ensure the safety of the Thai people.

He questioned whether there is sufficient time to focus on sovereignty and public safety amid ongoing external pressure, and stressed that Thailand has never agreed to a ceasefire proposal put forward by former U.S. President Donald Trump. Anutin indicated that he would not continue debating the issue, reiterating instead that Thailand must concentrate on defending its national interests.
