@Pikacu0669 Cyprus has been majority Greek for millennia. Greeks made up 80% of the population in 1974. Turkey wanted Cyprus for itself. Turks joined the British police force to try and stop the Greek freedom fighters
On the 1st April 1955 EOKA proclaimed the fight for independence. There is no mention of Turks. It writes:
