I fucking live for unhinged Victorian Christmas cards. Some years I just share the terror with friends, and others I choose to spread the chaos. This year I pick the latter.
Let’s start with the truly inexplicable.

Lockdown at least gave me the chance to stop having to interact with the world, exist in a quiet place and just be who I am. In how I dress, act, my gender, my interests.
I don’t think I’d ever dare tell a psychologist that I’ve used codeine/valium to deal with sensory overload and to mask. It makes me really sad that I had to numb myself in order to survive for so long and that I had no idea I was autistic or how to be myself without it hurting.
As I plunged into autistic burnout I started losing my ability to mask but since I was in environments where I couldn't be unmasked and I didn't know I was autistic, I turned to alcohol and relied on it as a masking-catalyst. I just wish we talked more about autism and addiction.
Pictures and peoples memories of me do not match my experience at all. People think of me being chill and quiet, being very girly and plain. That’s because I was full of opiates and benzo’s and was copying everyone else and trying not to stand out.
@wigglymittens @jtheseamstress Aw thanks! I’d definitely recommend getting into making your clothes, it doesn’t have to be expensive and it’s completely changed how I feel about myself and wasting clothes that I don’t hate!
@wigglymittens @jtheseamstress I second peppermint magazine patterns. I started with those, lots of elasticated skirts, jumpsuits and really nice trousers! Really well drafted patterns and for free!

Photographer Gideon Mendel refused to fan the flames of prejudice that characterised the AIDS crisis, instead documenting the humanity he found on London's specialist wards.
The Ward by Gideon Mendel is published by Trolley Books.

the local council in my part of brussels will install a mosaic on the path outside your house for FREE, and I realise that a bunch of people use it to get portraits of their cats
I don’t understand the new 6 person rule...so you can’t meet more than 6 people from 2 households - but as many 2 household six person groups can sit in a pub/cafe? Or are inside businesses restricted to only 12 people from 2 households of 6 people? Honestly asking because 🤯
