దారిలో వెళ్తున్నప్పుడు 'రామ్' అనే పదం చూడగానే తమ మతపరమైన మనోభావాలు దెబ్బ తింటున్నాయని స్థానికులు గత రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వానికి ఫిర్యాదు చేశారట. దానికి ప్రతిస్పందనగా, గత ప్రభుత్వ అధికారులు వెంటనే ఆ కళాశాల పేరు నుండి 'రామ్' అనే పదాన్ని తొలగించారు.

ఇలాంటి ధోరణిని మనం చూడటం ఇదే మొదటిసారి కాదు. శుక్రవారాల్లో ఆలయ గంటల శబ్దం ప్రార్థనలకు ఆటంకం కలిగిస్తోందని యూపీ లో అఖిలేష్ ప్రభుత్వానికి ఇలాంటి ఫిర్యాదులే అందిన విషయం గుర్తుందా? అప్పుడు అఖిలేష్ ప్రభుత్వం, ఎవరూ గంటలు మోగించకుండా ఉండేందుకు, ఆలయాలకు పోలీసులను పంపి గంటలను చేతితో పట్టుకునేలా చేసింది.

ఈ నిర్ణయాల వెనుక ఎలాంటి మనస్తత్వం ఉందో చాలా స్పష్టంగా తెలుస్తోంది. అది ఎంత ముస్లిమ్ లకు బుజ్జగించే ధోరణి, అలాగే హిందూ సంప్రదాయాలు పై వీళ్ళకు ఎంత ద్వేషం ఉందో అర్థం అవుతుంది.
