@aldatweets The Brooklyn Promenade is one of the most iconic parks in NYC. The triple cantilever is a great design, maybe one of the most artful incorporations of a highway in an urban setting. Mamdani is doing the right thing here - preserving it in its original design.
@dlondonwortel Edmund Bacon (Kevin Bacon's dad) transformed large sections of Philadelphia. Turned old city into a historic district, tore down large sections to create the national park around independence hall, and.. built some highways.
@NYCMayor Bring it back to three lanes each way. Two lanes has created a bottleneck and exaseberats exhaust - worsening conditions for those who love by this section including the many NYCHA residents.
@ChristinaPushaw@spencerpratt Woodlawn in Queens is absolutely an Irish Immigrant neighborhood - you can hear Irish accents all over that neighborhood.
@MichaelShurkin The Anglosphere greatly benefited from America's success. It's unfair to look at Canada today and say the revolution was for naught. Canada would be much smaller, on the east coast. Russia would own Alaska. Spain California..
@kellycucca I think the best anyone can do is try to make the most of it. Set up a bird feeder out your window, plant some plants outside your office, makes lot of tea.. that's all I got
@tinndfishmonger You can do this to Fox Chase as well - take the trail by the train to the Pennypack, go to the Delaware or follow the creek into the burbs. Pick up some German hiker sausages by the station at Rikers.
