@Chansoo@SawyerMerritt@Tesla_App_iOS Roughly zero I'd imagine. Most of the UI updates have made my 2020 slower while removing functionality. I can't imagine them actually trying to optimize anything for Intel these days
@niccruzpatane A Tesla with a coolant issue will absolutely overheat if you continue to drive it. I've had mine go into limp mode on a freeway with a 75mph speed limit. It's scary to putt along at 45mph while traffic whizzes by.
@chuckcook@greentheonly@chansoo IMO calling the warning a "nag" already primes people to think of it the wrong way. It is really a grace period before it alerts the driver it no longer detects their hands on the wheel (where they are *always* supposed to be). I'm troubled when I see folks asking for "less nags"
@greentheonly OpenPilot is really, really good! I had it in my Civic for two years before getting a Model 3. Sometimes I am tempted to try out the Tesla fork, as this situation is getting frustrating for me too.
@greentheonly Hi Green, thanks for sharing this info.
I'm curious if anything has changed recently re: map sources. I thought Google was only used for the imagery, but some people report the car using updates they've submitted to Google Maps, not OSM
@ID_AA_Carmack When Dean Kamen's Segway introduced li-ion, they went with LFP cells from Saphion. They can sit on the charger all day at 100%, and aren't really subject to thermal runaway if punctured. My original one still works perfectly (with somewhat reduced range)
