“My scrub nurse that I was working with every single day was followed home by a quad copter drone, and it didn’t kill him on the way home… it waiting until he was home, in his tent, and greeted his three children and killed them all”
Food, water, medicine — all urgently needed in #Gaza.
UNRWA trucks are loaded and still waiting at the borders.
This suffering is preventable.
Lift the siege.
Let humanitarian aid in.
Over the weekend in Gaza, we saw yet more mass shootings & killings of people seeking @UN aid – an atrocious & inhumane act which I utterly condemn.
We need an immediate ceasefire, the immediate release of all hostages & unimpeded humanitarian access.
130 people were killed and more than 1,000 wounded in Gaza this weekend.
People are starving. Many were shot by the Israeli military while simply trying to get food.
This is completely insane and unacceptable.
No more U.S. military aid to Israel.
Happening now in Tel Aviv: we march with the pictures of the children in Gaza who were starved to death by our government and our army. We cannot accept it. We call people to refuse the starvation, to refuse the killing, to refuse the annihilation.
People in #Gaza, including UNRWA colleagues, are fainting due to severe hunger. They are being starved.
Meanwhile, just a few kilometers away from Gaza supermarkets and shops are loaded with food and other goods.
Lift the siege.
Allow UNRWA to bring in food and medicines.
🚨 RIGHT NOW opposite Labour Party HQ in London.
We’ve turned their street into Jabaliya camp in Gaza. A genocide is happening, but the Labour government is supplying weapons, intelligence and diplomatic cover to the perpetrator. Protesting this is not terrorism.
Do not call it “humanitarian" or a “foundation.” These are death traps and you will soon describe them as war criminals, I told the @BBCNews.
And criminals need to be behind bars, not free to kill starving Palestinians at will.
We need full accountability for these war crimes: not tomorrow, not in five years. Now.

"There is no case since WW2 of starvation that has been so minutely designed and controlled"
Famine expert Alex de Waal on Israel deliberately starving an entire civilian population
We welcome the statement by the U.K. and 25 international partners calling for an immediate end to Israel’s aggression on Gaza. The time for “strongly worded statements” has long passed. Israel will not stop this genocide unless compelled. And it will only be compelled when met by international action: A full arms embargo, comprehensive sanctions, accountability for war crimes and crimes against humanity, and the immediate recognition of the State of Palestine.

Depressing news that Govt may approve bee-killing pesticide despite election promise to ban it - & outrageous that British Sugar has applied to use neonics for 5th year, despite industry commitment to end reliance in 2023. Govt must act to protect bees 🐝 https://t.co/kOJYWgWvey

I’m devastated to see yet another Israeli strike on a school in Gaza. We cannot become numb to violations of international humanitarian law and look away from the loss of innocent lives. I reiterate the urgent call for a lasting ceasefire. https://t.co/fjsaCI70Yx
The extreme Right are very loud rather than very popular. But as long as the media mistake loudness for popularity, the extreme Right will keep getting more airtime than their rivals. That’s not to underestimate the very real frustrations with politics that many of their supporters feel, but it does give us the first very real sign that the march of the Far Right is not as relentless and unstoppable as they would browbeat us into believing. It’ll be hard work and demand full attention, but they CAN be stopped. And that gives me hope.
