In most cases, viral-induced wheeze is managed with medications to open up the airways. This includes bronchodilators like salbutamol (albuterol), which helps to relax the airway muscles. Steroids may also be used to reduce inflammation.
It is essential to monitor the child’s breathing closely, especially if their wheezing is accompanied by signs of distress. In severe cases, hospitalization might be necessary to provide oxygen therapy and more intensive care.
Since viral-induced wheeze is triggered by viral infections, preventing colds and flu can help reduce the likelihood of wheezing. This includes practicing good hygiene, ensuring the child is up to date with vaccinations, and avoiding exposure to smoke and other lung irritants.

Good morning to everyone apart from Ofsted inspectors who think it’s a good and fair idea to inspect a school during SATs week! And have the audacity to ask teachers about their workload and wellbeing! Jokers!
Once in a while I like to send a parcel of free books to a random primary school, to encourage reading for pleasure.

"Evidence shows it’s not whether TAs are delivering interventions but how they are doing so. It is important to think about which intervention is being used and how it is being delivered"
