🦚🦚🦚PI NETWORK NEWS: Pi Sign-In: Connecting the Internet with Pi's Verified Identity
The Pi Core Team has introduced Pi Sign-In, one of the most significant infrastructure services unveiled during Pi2Day 2026.
At first glance, it may seem like a simple login feature.
In reality, it represents a bold vision to connect the internet through trusted, verified digital identities powered by Pi Network.
------
What is Pi Sign-In?
Pi Sign-In is a secure authentication service that allows users to access websites, applications, and online services using their Pi account.
Instead of creating a new username and password for every platform, users simply click "Sign in with Pi."
Behind this simple action is something much more valuable:
A verified digital identity backed by Pi Network's KYC system.
------
More Than Traditional Social Login
Today, billions of people use services such as "Sign in with Google," "Sign in with Apple," or "Login with Facebook."
These platforms verify ownership of an account.
Pi Sign-In goes one step further.
It has the potential to verify that the account belongs to a real human being, not a fake profile, bot, or anonymous identity.
This distinction could become increasingly important in the AI era.
------
Why Is This Important?
The internet is facing unprecedented challenges:
- Fake accounts
- AI-generated identities
- Automated bots
- Online fraud
- Identity theft
- Spam communities
Pi Sign-In offers a new approach by combining secure authentication with verified human identity.
Instead of asking, "Does this account exist?"
Pi asks,
"Is this a real person?"
That difference can dramatically improve trust across the digital world.
------
One Identity, Multiple Applications
Imagine using a single Pi identity to:
- Join Web3 applications
- Access online marketplaces
- Log into Pi-powered e-commerce platforms
- Participate in decentralized communities
- Use financial services
- Verify your identity securely
One trusted identity can unlock an entire ecosystem.
------
Benefits for Users
Pi Sign-In provides:
✔ Faster login
✔ Stronger security
✔ Better privacy
✔ Fewer passwords
✔ Protection from fake accounts
✔ A trusted digital identity recognized across multiple applications
------
Benefits for Developers
Developers can benefit by:
- Reducing fake registrations
- Eliminating bot accounts
- Simplifying user onboarding
- Lowering identity verification costs
- Building trusted communities
- Integrating directly with Pi's verified ecosystem
Instead of building expensive authentication systems from scratch, developers can leverage Pi's infrastructure.
A Key Piece of the Pi Ecosystem
Pi Sign-In works together with several core services:
Pi KYC → Verifies individuals.
Pi KYB → Verifies businesses.
PiVerify → Confirms trusted identity for applications and services.
Pi Sign-In → Provides secure authentication across the internet.
Together, these services create an ecosystem built on trust, security, and real human participation.
Connecting the Internet with Trusted Identity
The Pi Core Team's slogan says it all:
"Connecting the Internet With Pi's Verified Identity."
This is more than a marketing phrase.
It reflects a long-term strategy.
Rather than becoming just another cryptocurrency, Pi Network is building the infrastructure for a digital economy where users, businesses, and applications can interact with confidence through verified identities.
------
Final Thoughts
Pi Sign-In is not simply another login button.
It is the gateway to a future where digital identity is secure, portable, privacy-focused, and built on real human verification.
Combined with PiVerify, Pi KYC, and Pi KYB, Pi Sign-In demonstrates that Pi Network is laying the foundation for a trusted Web3 ecosystem.
The future of the internet will not only be decentralized—it will also be built on trusted identity.
Pi Sign-In is one of the first major steps toward making that vision a reality. 🦚🦚🦚

Does anyone else feel that running AI models and agents locally, on your own computer, should be much easier?
The privacy benefits are clear: your data stays with you. But while there are many open-source models and projects out there, turning them into a usable local AI agent is still far too hard for non-engineers.

GCV Community Education Series #58
Why Pioneers Should Abandon the Government Control Theory in the Pi Community
For many years, a large number of pioneers have been misled by what I call the Government Control Theory.
This theory was once very popular and still exists in some communities today, although it has gradually lost credibility over time.
The theory claims that the entire Pi Network has already been arranged or controlled by governments such as the United States, China, or other countries, or even by international organizations such as the United Nations.
As a result, some group owners, administrators, and content creators spend most of their time posting about government conferences, senate hearings, policy discussions, UN meetings, or proposed regulations. They suggest that one of these events will eventually announce Pi as an official currency or allow Pi to be converted into fiat currency at a very high value. Some even claim this value will be the Global Consensus Value (GCV).
Because these messages give people hope, many pioneers follow them without questioning the source.
I first observed this theory more than three years ago in parts of the Chinese Pi community. Some individuals falsely presented themselves as government officials or people with special government connections. Many pioneers became victims of these claims.
These individuals promised they could help pioneers convert Pi into fiat currency at GCV and collected large amounts of money from unsuspecting people.
At that time, I repeatedly warned pioneers that it was impossible for private individuals to legally offer such services. I also reminded everyone that any information presented in the name of a government must come from official government channels, not from private chat groups or social media messages.
Unfortunately, many pioneers were driven by anxiety, hope, and financial pressure. They ignored the warnings and lost significant amounts of money.
Today, I see similar patterns appearing in other communities around the world. Some community leaders continue to promote the idea that governments are secretly supporting or controlling Pi Network.
Therefore, I want to issue another warning.
Please abandon this harmful illusion.
Many pioneers have become convinced that governments have already arranged everything. Because of this belief, some stop focusing on their careers, stop developing businesses, and spend their days waiting for the next meeting, conference, or announcement.
When those expectations are not fulfilled, they face disappointment, financial hardship, and emotional distress.
There is another important reason why this theory is flawed.
Throughout history, governments rarely lead revolutions from the front.
Major technological, economic, and social revolutions are usually initiated by innovators, entrepreneurs, communities, and ordinary people who recognize opportunities and create value. Governments typically observe, evaluate, and respond after the innovation has demonstrated practical benefits.
The internet was not adopted worldwide because governments first declared it successful. E-commerce did not become successful because governments guaranteed it in advance. Mobile payments, social media platforms, and many other innovations followed the same pattern.
Governments generally have a different role.
Their responsibility is to create regulations, establish legal frameworks, protect consumers, maintain financial stability, and ensure that new technologies contribute positively to economic development.
In other words, governments usually do not create the revolution.
They regulate, recognize, and adapt to successful revolutions after the value has already been demonstrated.
If Pi Network eventually contributes to economic growth, creates jobs, supports businesses, increases productivity, and benefits society, governments may choose to establish regulations and frameworks that allow it to operate within their jurisdictions.
However, that is very different from claiming that governments are secretly controlling or directing the project today.
If governments officially support Pi Network, such information should come from authorized government representatives or official government channels.
Likewise, if there is any official government involvement with Pi Network, the Pi Core Team would inform the community through official communication channels.
To date, the Core Team has never stated that Pi Network is controlled by any government. Instead, they consistently encourage pioneers to collaborate, build utilities, support ecosystem development, and contribute to the network's success.
Pioneers should understand that official government decisions are communicated by authorized government representatives—not through rumors, personal analysis, imagination, or anonymous messages circulating in community groups.
Please do not spread the Government Control Theory.
It harms pioneers by creating unrealistic expectations. When those expectations fail, the resulting disappointment can be devastating.
More importantly, this mindset can delay your own financial freedom.
When people believe that governments have already arranged everything, they become passive. They stop building, stop learning, stop creating businesses, and stop contributing to the ecosystem.
They simply wait.
But Pi Network's success depends on the efforts of pioneers.
If you want financial freedom to arrive sooner, focus on education, ecosystem development, utility creation, merchant adoption, innovation, and community collaboration.
Do not wait for governments to do the work that pioneers themselves must do.
The future of Pi Network will not be built by rumors, speculation, or government-control theories.
It will be built by the collective efforts of pioneers around the world.
Build first. Create value first. Contribute first.
When genuine economic value is created, governments may eventually recognize, regulate, and adapt to it.
That is how most successful revolutions throughout history have unfolded.
