If I was Trump and I wanted to annex Canada without a lot of domestic resistance to the idea I’d do my best to make sure that the worst guy for Canada got elected, that things continued to deteriorate economically and socially for Canada and that a good portion of the neighbouring country hated me so much for such irrational reasons that they’d cheer on stuff so insane from their own government that it turned them into an actual security threat therefore justifying whatever it was I did next to ensure I had control over them and their resources.
Anyways. Carry on with those elbows…
Canada is the only G7 country that owns ZERO gold.
They finished selling in early 2016 and kept 77 ounces of coins, which is about $400,000 worth.
The final sale was 95,817 ounces at an average of $1,274.70, for around $122 million. At today’s prices that’s roughly $495 million. So that batch alone cost them about $374 million.
But that’s not the real number…
In 1965 Canada held 1,023 tonnes. That’s 32.9 million ounces. They spent the next 50 years selling it off.
At today’s price that hoard would be worth roughly $170 billion.
Canada’s entire foreign currency reserves are about $126 billion. The gold they sold would be worth more than everything they currently hold.
The reason given was diversification. Move away from physical commodities into liquid financial assets.
The best part is that Canada is the fourth largest gold producer on earth. They mined 200 tonnes last year, worth about $15 billion.
They dig it out of the ground, sell it to other central banks, and hold none of it.
Lake Ontario is and will always be Lake Ontario, and no executive order will change that. It doesn't belong to President Donald Trump to rename on a whim.
Our two countries have real trade issues that impact our people. Instead of responding to stunts and distractions, Canadians must stay focused on what we can control: making our economy strong and affordable at home and using our leverage to fight tariffs abroad.
I agree, it’s ridiculous

Carney conflict screen sidelines PM from eight more government decisions
Over 100 companies have been identified by the government as creating potential conflicts of interest for Mark Carney.

This is unacceptable.
Carney is choosing to update the European Parliament BEFORE he speaks to Canada’s.
Canadians deserve answers. Reconvene Parliament now: https://t.co/AoDMmY7dT0

Chapman's Ice Cream has just done something EVERY Canadian should know.
The largest ice cream company in Canada used to source fruit and nuts from American suppliers — for some, for over 30 years. Then, Trump imposed a 25% tariff on Canadian products.
So, what did Chapman's do?
📷 They called Italy.
📷 They called Spain.
📷 They signed multi-year contracts with European suppliers.
And the vice president said it perfectly:
"Even if Trump wakes up smarter than yesterday, we're about to sign long-term deals with other countries — and the American companies that supply them will have nothing but their eyes to cry for."
Oh, and on top of ALL that? They're COLDing their prices so that the average Canadian doesn't have to spend a single cent more.
It's a family business. No shareholders. Just the Chapman family saying: "The least we can do is make sure Canadians still have the means to buy ice cream."
That's what Canadian pride looks like.
Next time you're at the grocery store — grab some Chapman's.
Every scoop of ice cream is a vote for Canada.
Just finished a call with the Prime Minister to discuss the tariff escalation.
My message: release the text of the rejected agreement, recall Parliament, and adopt an emergency Economic Action Plan to save jobs and lower costs for our people.
The plan should scrap gas taxes until Canada Day, have zero capital gains tax on reinvesting in Canada, end the industrial carbon tax, green -light the 500 projects waiting for federal permits, and have ZERO sales tax on Canadian-made cars.
As the U.S. hikes tariffs, we must lower taxes for Canadians.
Let’s all fight for our workers, our businesses, and our country.
HOLY SH*T
I genuinely thought Mark Carney’s X account had been HACKED.
Nope.
Canada’s Prime Minister is actually sharing Cult MTL the same publication that responded to Charlie Kirk’s brutal assassination with an article titled:
TO HELL WITH CHARLIE KIRK.
They even wrote: “You reap what you sow.”
Think about that.
The Prime Minister of Canada is now amplifying a publication that printed THAT after a political assassination.
This should shock every Canadian, regardless of politics.
