SEIU just joined America’s biggest federation of labor unions, the @AFLCIO. Together, we’re taking on corporate union busters and changing the rules so every worker who wants a union can have one. Let’s do this!
Trump came into our home, a Black Press advocacy convention, and insulted us in our face. What is worse he was invited to do this by NABJ leadership. Shame!
I respectfully disagree with second half this take. Having the former President there did not in any way address the issues of Black communities across the country nor did it serve to celebrate, honor and strengthen Black journalists plying their trade.
Incredibly proud of @rachelvscott and @kadiagoba today. Substantive but tough questioning.
NABJ leadership made a decision grounded in journalism to have Trump come answer questions. And it produced one of the newsiest interviews with him this year.
The complete fuckery of this statement is incredible. Countless of black & brown folks get screwed by the
system every day and it’s fine. A guilty af privileged old white dude gets rightfully convicted, and now the system is being weaponized?
Get fucked, respectfully, of course
No one should be above the law -- not a boss, not a billionaire, not a president. The jurors did their job today. Now let’s do ours as voters this November.
Our early childcare teachers are our village. They teach our kids, love our kids, from the earliest ages. Without them, my and many other families couldn’t live and work in DC.
@MayorBowser@ChmnMendelson, fund the Pay Equity Fund in the budget!
This makes me livid.
1. They were able to pay their rent... before the global pandemic? Before a crisis hit? Before they lost a job?
2. ERAP has income limits. These aren't rich people abusing the system
3. Don't worry, no one in DC believes you care about helping them pay rent
